APRIL SHOWERS... NEWSLETTER

We stand in awe of what God is doing in the world today. We give Him all the glory, honor, and praise because there is nothing our hands could take credit for accomplishing. As He builds the kingdom of God beneath our feet, everywhere He leads us to go. Every partner He brings into our lives, every miracle that falls where His shadow is cast, can only be attributed to the Creator of the universe pouring out His love for the creation He adores and is calling into the presence of His Glory!

In April, we finish up the coastal ministry with our missionary partners Jim & Cleo Hughes. They have truly blessed us by joining the REACH Ministries Missions team and laying down their lives to follow the call of our Lord and Savior. Taking up your cross to follow Jesus in a developing nation has many challenges. (But God) Leaving behind the home, the family, the friends, and even their pets, they have laid everything down to follow Jesus in Kenya, and the faithfulness of God has created a great reward in an uncountable number of lives here in Kenya!

In these last four months, we have seen God continue a theme this year of calling the church back to holiness, to repentance, and to rise up out of the mediocre distractions of this world! I really notice it the most during the altar calls, prayer lines, and spontaneous calls to repentance, where the people compelled by the Spirit of God come and throw themselves down on their faces before Him. The ministry continues to be filled with salvations, rededications, deliverances, and healing because Jesus is showing Himself strong in the presence of a repentant, obedient heart. Our April ministry holds true with all God has been doing in Kenya to bring His people into a community of love! We had great services with our old friends at Jesus Wonders & Truth Ministries. Sharing the heart of God at the churches in Mtongwe, Bangladesh, a great Good Friday service in Mshomoroni, and an anointed Easter service down in the South Coast town of Ukunda. Finally, finishing up our coastal time with a beautiful celebration service in Malindi. We also made new friends with our contacts from Kings Tabernacle Miracle Church, where God invited us to do a wonderful midweek pastors' conference. As well as a prayer meeting at Crossroads Church, Nyali.

After a quick train ride back to Nairobi, we finished up our time of ministry at this writing with one of our favorite churches, Dove Christian Fellowship. We had a great planning meeting with Bishop George from KTMC organization, discussing and praying about how to bring the pastors and leaders from his 294 Kenya branches in for training, convention, and seminar meetings when we return from furlough in the US.

As I close this monthly update, I want to ask you to stay in prayer for our travels in the US, for our family, for Julies' mom Suzanne to have peace as she moves into this next phase of life, for Jim & Cleo as they pray about the projects and planning for their next mission, for the partners and ongoing projects we have here in Kenya, and for the ministry God is leading us into when we return later this year!
