REACH Update: April showers are bringing lush, bountiful harvest fields!

We’re writing today with our April update—yes, we know it’s already mid-May, but we’ve been so busy we just haven’t had a chance until now. Busy with what? God is on the throne of glory, and His will is being done here on Earth! REACH Ministries has been joyfully bringing the Kingdom of God to the streets, seeing hundreds of responses. Alongside our regular projects and ministry of encouragement, discipleship, and kingdom building, we’ve had amazing turnouts and feedback from our Soul Winning Seminars.

Kicking off the report with great news from the Agape Orphanage: it’s officially completed! After 3 years of hard work, the second dormitory space is finished. Despite challenges along the way, we’ve delivered two 3,400-square-foot living spaces to our partners in Kosele. Each floor comfortably houses 140 children, with a max capacity of 170, providing safe and secure housing for 280–340 at-risk kids. Huge thanks to God and heartfelt congratulations to Jim and Cleo Hughes for successfully managing the completion of Phase II!

Because of our growth in April REACH Ministries visited 9 churches from the coast of Kenya to the Western region, we visited 4 schools, we had 4 Soul Winning Seminars, 2 church conferences and started taking local churches into the harvest field. That’s right we are leading teams to street witness in their own communities. It is truly like the book of Acts church! We are seeing God’s power for miraculous healing, God working to set the captives free as the demons are fleeing and most important salvation for those who are far from God!

We also had 2 amazing Easter celebrations, 4 new churches added though divine connection and an amazing new church opening and dedication in Watamu. The church opening allowed us to spend some special reunion time with our good friends Daktari and Benter Ayieko as they accepted the invitation to join the teaching team for the weeklong convention and training.

On top of that, we were thrilled to welcome our new friends from YWAM Siem Reap in Cambodia! This team of nine Bible school students joined us for short-term work in Kenya. REACH Ministries is hosting them from their arrival in April until they return home at the end of May. We’ve already seen such genuine hearts from this wonderful group, and God continues to bless us each day with the fruits of our labor as we visit schools, churches, the rescue home, and spend time in parks and walking the streets for witnessing.
